8. Future development, aims

We plan to implement some features delivered by the Berkeley Database version 3.1.14 The interface currently uses the version 3.1.14 but the functions and the available functionality was designed based on the version 2.2.7
- The first version of the module was about to be released November 18, 1999. Just two days after the new major version of Berkeley DB was released. Therefore we decided not to ship the already obsolete version and upgraded the module to use the version 3.0.5
- Note that `scriba.conf.lsp' and/or `scriba.conf.unix.lsp' has to be converted to compressed binary format using the command scriba -k scriba.conf.lsp or scriba -k scriba.conf.unix.lsp.
- For more information on these database types read the manual of the Berkeley Database.
